Recently located to Portugal from the USA, Susan has offered professional tennis teaching and coaching services for all ages and levels to visitors and locals alike on Marco Island in Southwest Florida for the last ten-plus years. Her Island Tennis business earned the Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice Award for five years and the Best of Marco Island Award. 

Susan is a RSPA Elite Tennis Professional, USTA SafeSport Trained, Safe Play Approved, and Net Generation Provider, and a sponsored team member of the Wilson Advisory Staff. 

She was a former NCAA Division I Big Ten college player at the University of Iowa, playing both singles and doubles for the Hawkeyes, and earned a business degree in Marketing.

Susan was the 2014 USPTA National Clay Court Doubles Champion and Singles Runner-Up, and 2015 Doubles Player of the Year. 

She has worked with some of the leaders and legends in the tennis industry, such as Coach Wayne Bryan of California, and Coaches Dick Gould, Frank Brennan, and John Whitlinger at Stanford University.

Susan has taught, coached, and played competitively throughout the USA as well as in Europe and the Caribbean. 

She is a career tennis teaching professional with three decades of experience who genuinely enjoys sharing her passion and knowledge of the sport with her students to help them improve their tennis games and overall journey. 

Susan accommodates players of all abilities and customizes accordingly to provide a worthwhile experience. It's tennis fun in the sun!
